An Echo in the Bone is the seventh book in the Outlander series and was published in 2009. The book takes place during the American Revolution and the 1980s and follows the lives of Jamie, Claire, and their family as they navigate the perils of both time periods.
One of the standout features of An Echo in the Bone is its intricate plotting. Gabaldon weaves together multiple storylines, from Jamie's involvement in the Revolution to Claire's medical work in the 1980s, and brings them together in a satisfying and suspenseful way. The book also introduces new characters, such as William Buccleigh, and expands upon the relationships between existing characters.
